Point me to a speakeasy, if you please

I guess bow-ties are my kryptonite. There's not a lot about them to hate. Suspenders too, no complaints here, beyond that they keep your pants ON ;)
I was feeling retro-mod so I felt menswear and sex heels would satisfy my cravings. The lighting in the last photo bugs me a little, but I needed to prove that I WAS wearing heels. Happy scrolling!

Apparently this is steampunk.

It's actually in the 50's. I may cry. I'm so excited. Anyway, I was inspired by some steampunk fashion, and while I may not be prepared to put gears on my sunglasses, or more than 30 buckles on my shoes... I can appreciate the badassery of the entire style. I'm also in love with this skirt, I feel like a fairy princess in it. A fairy princess in a multi-belt corset, but a fairy princess nonetheless. Happy scrolling! Hearts!

Belts: Thrifted

Some things just need to be seen.

Sometimes it makes me sad how little us commoners get a peek at the peaks of fashion. I hear more hype about Lulu-lemon then I do about Dior couture. Why would you pay more attention to Black sausage-casings (That's really all they are,) than this level of artistry? Here, have some eye candy. I may make this a weekly thing, but I'm not sure how it'll be received, so tell me what you think!... Happy scrolling! Hearts!

Hardcore pajamas

I have an unrequited love for harem pants. I love them, they do not love my butt. It just doesn't work (THUSFAR.)  So I decided to find a middle ground in fabulous sweatpants. Yes, sweatpants. I was actually appalled when the thought first crossed my mind, but like all things I come to love, it grew on me. I would say they're a comfortable fashion option, but they're not to be worn without heels (In my opinion) so that's kind of moot. Either way they're wearable, and wonderful. Hearts!

Spring 2014 shoes Pt. 1

These are collections of shoes from the 2014 Spring shows in Paris. Don't you go thinking I'd actually buy these lovelies, I'm not the "Daddy PLEEEAAASSSEEE?!" girl. These are far and above anything I could have now, but oh they are so lovely to worship, and hey it's not cheating if you find a pair on ebay... Or knockoffs ;) I'll link to knockoffs, DIYs, or similar pairs I find, just in case you love these shoes as much as I do. (Mind you I won't find any until at least a month into summer, these collections have been out for barely weeks :/  But I will update then!) Hearts!

I am a habitual person, and one of my habits is stalking Miu Miu shoes on Ebay. Now you know.

I'm not sure when Prada thought it would be a good Idea to glue rhinestones to crocs, and I'm even less sure why I like it. I need to reevaluate my life choices.

I had truly never heard of Sonia Rykiel before this season, but mmmm baby lookit that gold wave.

And finally, Sophia Webster (did you know she's working with J-crew? Should I get out from under a rock?) With these filigree, whimsical, fantasy beauties. I'm starting to adore laser cut leather, even if I only get to look. <3

Some of My current inspirations and loves.

Sometimes I like to take apart magazines. Whoops someone got a mustache. Actually though, sequin knee pads? Filigree shoes? Preposterously dramatic cat-eyes? Leather and tulle Jackets? This season can count me right in. Hearts!

I'm out of tissues, and patience.

Lets start with this, I am without a doubt, a drama queen. From my vernacular, my use of makeup, the way I dress, and right down to the underpinnings, and even a little pinch in my personal life.  I value drama. So this weekend, I came down with what I believe is a new and eviler strain of what we know *shudder* as the Black plague. All weekend I was surrounded by mountains of tissues and the tears of a woman unable to open her computer because he headache wouldn't allow that much light. And so today, after waking up at an ungodly late hour, I dragged myself forcibly to the coffee pot and and poured myself a cup of life and here I am, back again. Still sick, but able to blog.

So that's where I've been.

A bad case of the "new infatuation"

Shoes: Junya Wantanabe
Top right: Bliss Lau
Bottom right: Alexander Mcqueen
Bottom Left: Atlantis Blog
Fountain: Somewhere glorious in Paris

I've come to decide that trends are like passing illnesses, and the ones that live on
EX: Tweed, Pumps, A-line anything, suits, etc are like the diseases that just go dormant.
EX: High-low hems? A really bad fucking cold. You're just relieved when it passes
EX: Layered Pearl strands? A determined case of the chicken pox. That shit comes back when you're 40.

So obviously my harness thing is a cold, but ooh boy is it gonna be a bad one.

You're welcome for your little moment of disgust today <3

Missoni and Rain

It's finally starting to warm up! A whole 42 degrees today! I was in the mood for something more colorful, but I couldn't settle on any skirts that stood out until I found this, so black it was. The fabric is actually somewhat treated, so it looks almost iridescent, and I love the semi-quilted look of the pleats! I'm wearing the scarf I thrifted (I'm so excited, it goes with everything) Happy scrolling! Hearts!

Scarf: Missoni

Shirt: Lord and taylor cashmere

Houndstooth tuesdays

For a while now I've felt myself leaning a little bit more towards the edgier side of things, but only so very slightly. My suspicions only grew stronger when I began to be drawn towards the chunky printed cardigans of the 80's, and they were proved correct when I found myself searching "Animal buckles" on ebay. Sadly, I have little to no money to spend on luxurious new toys to soothe my vanity. I settled for one more thriftcation. Though I found no animal buckles, I found the perfect cardigan (On me below), and several delicious belts. Beyond that, a olive green silk shirt, and a blue and white striped linen delight are now mine. I'll post outfits with all later. Hearts!
